“Mismatch: Book 8 of The Angel Falls Library Files” is (finally!) released

book-8-cover-1-rev-smallThe much anticipated (well, by us anyway) release of the 8th entry from Paige Turner’s illicit journals of the deliciously steamy sagas permeating the town of Angel Falls is finally here!

At over 30,000 words, “Mismatch” follows the story of two mothers and two sons, and the variables and nuances of the sexual discoveries they each experience, discoveries which only get hotter with each turn of the page. Sexual excitement mixes with emotional turmoil at times, as these four distinct personalities navigate the roads to their ultimate incestuous satisfactions. (With a little help from our favorite lusty librarian, of course.)

“Mismatch” is currently available on Carnal Pleasures and Carnaltopia, as well as on Smashwords and Excitica. It should be available at other outlets soon. Keep checking the book’s web page for further availability.

“Confessions of My Nephew”: Today’s featured erotica title on “Kinky Literature”!!

Confessions cover updated 437x700I’m thrilled to announce that my debut story. “Confessions of My Nephew”, is one of today’s featured titles on the website “Kinky Literature“! Their website features and promotes hundreds of titillating titles by dozens of current erotica authors. After today my ebook will continue to be promoted on their site with its own brief info page and a link to the title’s Smashwords page.

“Kinky Literature” does not sell books directly, but rather promotes various titles along with links to the Amazon and/or Smashwords pages where they are available. The site is run by a couple, Richie and Randi, who were part of the group that founded YouPorn.com.  (Richie is also the author of “TaXXXi Tales”.) It’s a wonderful service they offer to their fellow erotica authors, and I’m thrilled to be included among the list of titles! The site also features a blog and their very own “Sexpert”, who gives advice on matters of a ‘kinky’ nature. 😉

They have informed me also that they will be featuring and promoting my title “Mother Pushes the Swing” in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, be sure to check out the enormous number of available titles that they promote, as well as their other features.

Yes, it’s been a while since I’ve posted an entry here. We’ve moved again, and other matters have taken up considerable attention, including an atrocious amount of time it took to FINALLY get internet access hooked up! Book 8 of Angel Falls is still in final editing stages, but we’ve only been able to work on it bits at a time. Hopefully soon we’ll actually start to feel like smut writers again. 😀 LOL!

Personal thoughts on “Confessions of My Nephew”

Confessions cover updated 437x700This was the one that started it all. (Well… seriously started it all, anyway.) My first leap into actually attempting to become an established erotica author. I can’t begin to count the number of lessons learned in creating this story and setting it free to fly.

This actually isn’t the first story of mine to get published. That dubious honor actually goes to “Watch Me, Daddy” (later re-titled  “Craving His Attention”), the first in the “Angel Falls Library Files” series which I submitted to Smashwords directly. But “Confessions of My Nephew” was the first story I sat down and wrote for the purpose of trying to get published. And boy, was it a freaking mess when I finished writing and submitting it! Not so much the story itself, but the format and style was probably about as “amateur” as you can get.

The CEO of Boruma Publishing, who the story was eventually handed to, painstakingly went through the story and cleaned it up, correcting the uncountable formatting and styling mistakes, as well as offered re-wordings throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed this collaboration, as every few days or so she would send me another chapter she got done working on, and I watched my roughly written tale gradually transform into a much more comprehensive piece of prose. I learned very valuable lessons along the way as well through her examples of what a good published story should actually look like. I will admit, there were a few times I felt a bit of trepidation reading though her changes, thinking, “You know, this really doesn’t sound like me.” But then I thought, well, that’s probably the point. LOL! It wasn’t really SUPPOSED to sound like me, it was supposed to sound like the main character Stacy, as told through her perspective. Today I might not have accepted quite so much of the re-writes, keeping it a bit more to my style of writing, but overall I am extremely pleased with the final results.

As for the story itself, I’m sure it doesn’t quite follow the “standard” (if there is such a thing) taboo/incest tale. (Actually, I hope NONE of my stories do.) I am a bit surprised at times that I haven’t gotten at least a comment or two lamenting the fact that Derrick and his mother never did end up getting together sexually. I certainly considered the option as I was writing it, and I left open the possibility of a sequel where that avenue could be explored, but this particular tale was very much Stacy’s story! Her self-discovery, her hidden desires, her re-evaluations about her own morality. (Which she considered was loose enough to begin with the way it was.) I also found the juxtaposition of Rebecca’s conventionality against the free-thinking mindset of her sister Stacy a fascinating contrast. Were Rebecca to had actually ended up being sexually intimate with her son in this particular story, that contrast would have been vastly diluted, if not eliminated altogether. In spite of their differences, Stacy loved her sister just the way she was, and I didn’t want to paint Stacy as someone who would just set out to transform her sister into a different version of herself. It was a much more titillating (and believable) concept to portray Stacy as someone who would say, “If I had a son like Derrick who I knew was hot for me, this is what I would do!”

Plus, Rebecca’s “unattainability” was a huge part of the sexual draw that Derrick felt for his mother. Had Derrick actually fulfilled his illicit desire to be intimate with her, the relationship he would have “lost” with her wouldn’t have been worth what he would have gained. Stacy was his perfect “outlet”. Being able to maintain his existing relationship with his mother while still indulging in his fantasies about her.

wicked-thingI also thoroughly enjoyed incorporating the concept of “dreams” in this story. From personal experience, I know how ‘erotic’ dreams can be at times, how sometimes they can tease and haunt you for days, weeks, sometimes even years afterwards. Anything can happen in dreams, no matter how unrealistic or absurd. Some of them may not even make any sense, yes still send a thrill rushing through you unlike any “real” experience ever could. I’ve included the concept of dreams in a number of my Angel Falls series, and will most likely focus on them in many additional stories.

I didn’t intend it this way, but this story very much gradually transformed into an unconventional “love story” between Stacy and Derrick. I loved that concept! As the scenes progressed they found themselves in love with each other in a way very few people could ever comprehend. And to me, that was even more of a “titillation” factor than it would have been had Derrick and his mother actually ended up being intimate with each other, and quite possibly leaving Stacy out in the cold. I loved exploring that avenue, and felt it put a unique exclamation mark on an already sexually exciting story. It was also a prime example of how more often than not a story usually ends up writing itself at some point.

For me, this story contains everything a “taboo” story should include. The shock of discovering one’s own lewd thoughts, the guilt of realizing your own excitement by them, coming to terms with the fact that you are not “normal” to most people, and finding an acceptance with someone who shares the same desires as you do. It also includes one aspect I try to include in most of my stories, and that’s one of eventual self-acceptance of one’s own feelings and desires. And even though it’s not “normal”, what you feel, what you have, and what you do works for you, and what other people think really doesn’t matter.

And of course lots of hot sex in the process. 😉

For me, this was a fantastic “leap” into the world of serious erotic storytelling. The thrill of seeing the story develop into a readable tale, receiving the design for the cover, and actually seeing it listed among a plethora of other delightful taboo tomes is an experience that can’t be described. Perhaps someday I might attempt a sequel to this story, or maybe winkeven a series based on other confessions to “Aunt Stacy”. One of the main things this book has taught me is there are always possibilities. 🙂

Finally released! – “Double Dare: Book 7 of The Angel Falls Library Files”

Book 7 cover 1 smallYeah, I know… I’ve only been ‘teasing’ abut this for weeks. (Months even!)

Due to some health matters and other issues, we’ve had to delay its release for quite some time, but the 7th installment of The Angel Falls Library Files, “Double Dare”, was finally submitted to my publisher last week, and is now FINALLY available on Carnal Pleasures, Carnaltopia, Smashwords, and Excitica. It should find its way onto other sites (including Amazon) within the next few days.

“Double Dare” is our first real attempt at writing a brother-sister themed taboo story. Sexual discovery between two totally inexperienced characters was a bit of a challenge at times, but hopefully we filled it with enough realism and titillation to really fire up the imagination. 🙂

It’s also the first story in the series where Paige takes on much more of a “narrator” role, rather than one of the actual main characters. Most stories in the series from here on out will follow pretty much the same format. It’s fun writing about Paige’s fascination with the characters she encounters. A fascination we hope our readers share. 😉

Book 8 is currently well under way, and hopefully won’t take as many ‘detours’ to make it to release. Look for some teasers and excerpts soon…

Want MORE of Angel Falls??

peek nudeAs another prelude to the release of book 7 of The Angel Falls Library Files, I’ve put together a new Tumblr blog entitled “Life in Angel Falls”.

This blog is designed to be a companion piece to the Angel Falls series, containing snippets and short vignettes based heavily on characters and events from the Angel Falls Library Files, and occasionally from some of my other titles as well, inspired by some of the erotic images I come across on Tumblr and other online sources.

Containing teasers of unwritten stories, side stories, extensions of stories, and sometimes excerpts from stories already released, this blog is presented as a “peek” into the secret notes kept by assistant librarian Paige Turner as she continues her ongoing journey into incestuous discoveries among the residents and students of the quaint little college town of Angel Falls.

If there’s a naughty little taboo secret nearby, Paige will surely find it. 😉

real life disappoints-masturbate to tumblrIn reality, this is more or less a venue for me to help keep my writing skills sharp, and will hopefully end up giving fans of the series a little more to help fuel their imaginations inbetween releases of our books. Right now there are only a handful of entries in the blog, but it will be added to on a fairly frequent basis.

Book 7 of The Angel Falls Library Files, “Double Dare”, is currently in the final editing stages and should be ready for release in just a matter of days!!

Ohh, and book 8 is already under way. 😉 LOL

Our latest release -“The Angel Falls Library Files: The Extended Family Collection” – is now available at Carnal Pleasures and Smashwords!

AF Trilogy 2 cover 2 smallThe Angel Falls Library Files: The Extended Family Collection“, the 2nd trilogy bundle in the Angel Falls series, is now available on Carnal Pleasures, as well as Carnaltopia and Smashwords. It should be available at other outlets as well soon.

This collection contains books 4, 5 and 6 of the ongoing Angel Falls series, “Tattletale“, “Seduction of the Shrew“, and “Forbidden Incentives“.

This is a prelude to the release of our upcoming book 7, “Double Dare“. Stay tuned… 😉

Also, on a side note, more of my titles are currently available once again on Smashwords. Even more will be available shortly. 🙂

Angel Falls returns to Amazon

censoredSometimes the good folks at Boruma Publishing just amaze the shit out of me.

Going through various channels, the first four books of The Angel Falls Library Files, “Craving His Attention“, “Sharing Secrets“, “Give and Take“, and “Tattletale“, are once again gracing the pages of the ever-popular Kindle section of Amazon’s website. (The links for each can be found on each book’s individual page.) Books 5 and 6 are expected there shortly.

I have rather mixed feelings about this…While I applaud Boruma’s efforts and abilities, it is, after all, Amazon. “Feeding the beast” is still somewhat distasteful to me, considering the way Amazon treats many individual authors. Plus the fact that, even though these titles managed to slip through despite their EXTREMELY taboo nature, descriptions and excerpts had to be “adjusted” to hide that fact, which in effect means that readers really won’t know what they’re getting until they actually buy the title, and readers who actually DO want titles that extremely taboo still won’t be able to find it unless totally by accident.

In any case, there they are for those folks who are helplessly addicted to Amazon’s nifty little “Buy now with one click” button. I would still much rather readers buy my books through other venues for various reasons, not the least of which is that the royalty percentage I receive through Amazon sales is atrocious due to the various channels these books need to go through. (I receive the highest royalty percentage on sales through Carnal Pleasures and Carnaltopia.) But, for those who insist on only going the Amazon route as their source for smutty entertainment, well… a sale is a sale, I suppose. I just won’t get paid as much.

By the way, the debut title of my love, Lilly-Rose Young, “Pushing Boundaries“, is also available on Amazon.

“Mother Pushes the Swing” is once again available on Smashwords!

FORREST YOUNG - Mother Pushes the Swing 7-retouched smallAfter a prolonged absence, my ebook “Mother Pushes the Swing” is once again available to customers of the Smashwords website. More of my titles will be added to the Smashwords website as well within the next few days.

“Mother Pushes the Swing” is also now available on the Excitica website run by erotica author Selena Kitt.

Look for the release of a couple of brand new titles within the next few days as well. 🙂

Ready To Be Teased??

shocked-glassesCheck out my Tumblr blog where I just recently posted a FIRST EVER “sneak peek” excerpt from our upcoming ebook “Double Dare”, the next installment of The Angel Falls Library Files!! Look for some other excerpts coming up later on, and (hopefully soon) a cover reveal.

Also, taking a moment to blow my own horn here, my anthology “The Irresistible Moms Collection” is currently holding the NUMBER NINE spot on the Carnal Pleasures Top 20 list!! “If the Door Is Open” also bumped up a few notches at number 15!

(Oh, that felt so good!)

Blowing the Horns Of Others

How’s THAT for a dirty-sounding blog title?? 😉

late night surfingSome of you may have noticed a new little blue box at the top of the page. (The one labeled “Artistic Endeavors“.) If you hover over it or click on it, you’ll find a whole bunch of little goodies behind it. (Or soon will, anyway.)

In an attempt to make this web page a little more than just about my ebooks (although that WILL remain a major focus) and more about “taboo erotica” in general, I’ve designed these pages to direct people to creative works by others who share my same penchant for the delightfully forbidden and deliciously taboo. 🙂 This project is still in its VERY early stages -in fact some of the pages don’t have anything in them as of yet- but as I find the time to work on it, it will be filled with links to sites that will delight your senses in one way or another. 🙂 Stay tuned and keep checking.. These pages will be added to on a regular basis.

In a couple other noteworthy updates, I will soon be releasing the second trilogy of The Angel Falls Library Files, which will contain books 4, 5 and 6. It will be a prelude to the UPCOMING BOOK 7 of the series, which my gorgeous and talented wife and I are currently working diligently on. It’s actually my first attempt at doing a story with a brother-sister theme, and to be honest I felt a bit of trepidation about it. It’s not that the concept doesn’t turn me on (it does!! LOL!!), but I wasn’t sure if I could do as much justice to this particular relationship dynamic as I had with previous ones. As with most of my stories though, this one eventually started taking on a life of its own, and I’m actually quite pleased with the way it turned out. 🙂 The final draft is done, just in the process now of picking nits. Look for some excerpts to be released soon!

Lilly-Rose and I are also doing some brainstorming on a project that we plan on releasing as a stand-alone story, not part of the Angel Falls series. I don’t want to give TOO much away too soon,  but it involves a whole immediate family scenario, where past, present and future intermingle. There are many facets and many levels of interaction, and is easily our most ambitious project to date. It wouldn’t surprise me if this one won’t be ready for release until the beginning of next year. But we’re both very excited about it. 🙂

Stop the presses!!

News, news, and more news!! Jeez, where do I start?

Spinning Heads complete cover 1 500x800lWell, let’s begin with the fact that my latest offering, “Spinning Heads-The Complete Collection” is NOW AVAILABLE on Carnal Pleasures and Carnaltopia! This includes all five of my original series of short erotic stories, along with a couple of additional naughty treats:

Lucy-original cover 1 complete 500x800This particular collection includes the ORIGINAL version of my short story “Lucy”, which was considered just a little too “taboo” for most distributors and ebook sellers to carry. The version previously released for publication was modified (much to my chagrin) in order to provide it broader availability. I finally reverted it back to its original version for this collection. (So CENSOR THIS, assholes!!)

Happens Every Time cover complete 1 500x800This collection also includes an additional bonus SIXTH story written more recently, entitled “It Happens Every Time”. This story takes a bit of a different tone than the rest of the series, but probably presents the “cuckold/hotwife” fantasy in a rather unique light, as seen from the perspective of the “extra” male in this equation. It’s a bit of a heartbreaker, but still plenty of hot sex action. 😉

This collection, by the way, is a Carnal Pleasures/Carnaltopia EXCLUSIVE! You won’t find this complete collection, or the bonus material in it, anywhere else.

This is also probably a good time to introduce my BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW Home/Welcome page. Yep… went out a got me a new doormat. 🙂 This page is a little more versatile than the one I put together previously, allowing me to add a little more content around the edges, and I think it looks a bit sharper also. My old front page is still active, for those of you who still have the link, but if you click the link at the top, it’ll take you to my freshly painted foyer.Just be sure to wipe your feet, or better still, take off your shoes and stay a while. 😀

Ohhh, and HEY!! I’M FAMOUS! I’M FAMOUS!!

ITDIO psp cover 5 reverse 9 500x800Okay, maybe not quite… But I DID notice recently that I currently have not just one, but TWO of my titles prominently displayed on the Carnal Pleasures Top 20 LIST!! My stand-alone story “If the Door Is Open” is Irresistible Moms psp cover 1 500x800bringing up the rear at number 20, and my anthology “The Irresistible Moms Collection” is dangling at the number 13 spot! Not quite the NYT bestsellers list, but hey, I’m tickled pink! Thanks to my many readers there who make me feel that it’s all worthwhile. 🙂

Just released!! “Forbidden Incentives: Book 6 of The Angel Falls Library Files”

Forbidden Incentives cover 1-500x800Again, this one has been a long time in coming. At over 30,000 words, this is currently my longest released work to date, and my second full collaboration with my wonderful wife Lilly-Rose Young. (I so love writing with this woman!!)

“Forbidden Incentives” is the sixth entry in my Angel Falls Library Files series, focusing on Paula and her son Justin, who’s lives take drastic turns when Paula attempts to turn her son’s lackadaisical attitude around with “less-than-conventional” methods. This sets them on paths that neither one of them could have imagined, especially when they meet Paige, who’s life is dramatically affected by them as much as their lives are affected by her. It all culminates in a pivotal point in the creation of The Angel Falls Library Files.

There were just too many variables and too much detail I wanted to include to make this a “short” story. By all rights, I could have actually turned this into two separate books, but I wanted this story to wrap up in what is basically the second “trilogy” of the series. Beginning with book 7, this series will follow a slightly different sort of format, focusing on much shorter stories as the series expands beyond Paige and her incestuously naughty family. 🙂

Book 6 is currently available on Carnal Pleasures, as well as Carnaltopia and Smashwords, and should be available on other venues shortly.

We hope it was worth the wait. 🙂

Mind Games (excerpt from “Seduction of the Shrew”) – #MasturbationMonday

masturbation-monday-badge-smallReverse psychology.. It is often an extremely effective means in getting someone to do something they wouldn’t ordinarily do. “Manipulation” often has deeply negative connotations, a reputation that s probably well-earned, but like most things in life, manipulation can be used for good or used for evil. Maybe even on rare occasions, a little of both at the same time.

This week’s #MasturbationMonday entry comes from my recently released title, “Seduction of the Shrew: Book 5 of The Angel Falls Library Files“. In this short scene, both Adam and Phyllis gradually ‘transform’ into something they ordinarily are not: Adam becomes the manipulator, and Phyllis, who is a master at pushing people’s buttons, finds herself deeply on the receiving end. In the end, everybody wins, but first… let’s dance. 😀

“Adam, you startled the life out of me!” Phyllis exclaimed after a deep gasp.

Adam paused for a couple of seconds to admire the cleavage peeking out from the top of her robe before responding. “I’m sorry, Phyllis, I thought you were Paige for a second.”

Phyllis looked at him suspiciously, finding it hard to swallow that he could mistake her mature form for Paige’s youthful figure, although a part of her was wanting to believe that it was possible. “Do you normally just walk in on your daughter when she’s wearing nothing but a flimsy bathrobe?”

Adam declined to respond, simply standing there and admiring his mother-in-law’s form. Phyllis’ face grew accusingly curious as he stood there just gazing at her in silence. Adam’s lips sported just the slightest of a grin as his eyes seemed intently focused on her. A thrill seemed to tickle her stomach as he folded his arms across his chest and he leaned against the door frame.

“Let me see,” he finally said.

“See what?”

“What’s underneath the robe. Show me.”

Phyllis’ mouth dropped open at his outrageous audacity. “I am certainly not going to…” she started to say in response to his indecent request, but then stopped. Her body stiffened completely, unable to even breathe as she fixated on the look in his eyes. He was undeniably sincere in his request to see her naked. Suddenly all the images and events from the last couple of days came rushing back into her mind. The grab in the kitchen. His piercing stares. Paige masturbating on the sofa. The adoring looks he gave Paige as they sat together on the sofa.

The adoring looks… Suddenly her mind fixated on that. More than just adoration… appreciation! Attraction. One might also even say desire.

A hollow feeling started to swell up in Phyllis’ gut as they stood there staring at each other. The look in her son-in-law’s eyes was almost hypnotizing. He was genuinely anticipating seeing her naked. And even more surprising, she found herself wanting to show him! She ached to see that look of appreciation in his eyes. That look of desire. How long had it been since any man looked at her that way?

The fact that this was her son-in-law flowed completely out of her brain. The fact that she was married totally dismissed. All she wanted was to be admired by this man. To be appreciated. To be desired. At that moment nothing else existed.

Phyllis sat the clothes she was holding down on the bed. Adam’s eyes lit up like a fire as Phyllis reached for the belt holding the front of the robe flimsily in place. tumblr_nyscckz9su1v02b1bo1_1280As the front gave way, she reached up to her shoulders and peeled the robe back. An unmistakable look of delight emanated from Adam’s face as his mother-in-law’s breasts were fully revealed to him. Soaking in his gaze of admiration, Phyllis let the robe fall completely to the floor.

As Adam feasted on the sight he’d fantasized about seeing for almost 25 years, he took note that while Paige may have inherited her grandmother’s blonde hair, his wife most certainly got her breasts from Phyllis. While they sagged slightly more than Brenda’s did, they were still incredibly full and bulbous for a woman of her age. In fact, Adam was amazed at how very little sag there was on her voluptuous body. His cock started to stiffen involuntarily as he took her all in. Even as a teenager he entertained lascivious fantasies about this striking older woman, years before she even became his mother-in-law. Age had robbed her of none of her sexual appeal.

Phyllis stood there taking in his lewd stare, waiting for his next move, her face hardening in preparation to halt any further advances. An expression Adam fully recognized. His memory immediately recalled his earlier discussions with Paige.

“Well… That’s enough of that now, isn’t it?” Adam said as he stood completely upright. Taking one last quick glance, he backed away from the doorway and turned to walk toward his bedroom.

“Seduction of the Shrew” now available on Carnal Pleasures!

Book 5 - psp cover 2-FLRY 500x800It’s probably appropriate that this book is released so close to the holidays, since it takes place during the holidays. LOL! I didn’t really plan it this way, but then things don’t always go to plan just how you picture it, right?

Anyway, this was a long time in the making, and the 5th installment of “The Angel Falls Library Files” (which is also the first full collaboration with my wife and fellow erotica author Lilly-Rose Young) is finally available! “Seduction of the Shrew” is now available on Carnal Pleasures, as well as on Carnaltopia and Smashwords. It will be available on additional outlets as well in the near future.

“Whew!!” Now on to book 6! 😀 LOL

A New Reflection (excerpt from “If the Door Is Open…) #Taboo2sday

bloghop_tallOn this weeks entry for TabooTuesday, I share with you an excerpt from what has been consistently my most popular story, “If the Door Is Open…”, where for the first time Abby sees herself through the eyes of a young admirer. An admirer who happens to be her son!

To keep in line with the ‘guidelines’ of the TabooTuesday blog hop, I am only posting a portion of the entire scene. As a whole, this scene is definitely my favorite one in the entire story, and personally this is one of the most erotic scenes I think I’ve ever written. But, you can be the judge of that. 😉

She looked at her voluptuous full-figured form… her wide hips, fleshy forearms and thighs, her tummy bulging, slight traces of cellulite and stretch marks sprinkled around her mid-section. Her legs were thick, but shapely as they tapered down to her feet, and she even found them impressive with the right set of high heels to accentuate them. Her most redeeming physical feature, of course, at least in her own eyes, was her breasts. Although they sagged a bit with age, they were still rather buoyant, and protruded out full and firm on her chest like halves of watermelons, her nipples still setting quite high. Her entire adult life she almost never faced any shortage of attention on her breasts, wanted or unwanted. Especially when wearing anything that showed even the slightest amount of cleavage.

She stood there before the mirror trying to take in the entire package of the image that stood facing her, both the good and the bad. Riding the tail end of her 30’s and being some forty pounds or so overweight, at least according to all the charts she looked up, she was keenly aware that she would not be gracing many magazine covers anytime soon. Her husband had always made her feel attractive and desirable, though, no matter what her weight.

She stood there wondering, however, if the teenage friends of her son, or even her son himself, would find her just as desirable as she appeared now, naked and exposed as she was, flaws and all. Then it suddenly dawned on her that her son actually had seen her like this, not standing naked as she was now, but certainly exposed, and he still not only found her attractive, but was actually sexually aroused.

Focused on the image in the mirror, Abby placed her hands on her thighs, gliding them up around the border of her mound, circling her rounded stomach for a moment, then bringing them up underneath her breasts. In the mirror, she could see her nipples harden as she tried to imagine seeing what Shawn saw, the same breasts, the same stomach, the same hips, the same legs, the same arms, the same hands. She squeezed her breasts, running her palms over the nipples, trying to imagine his excitement looking at those breasts.

Her heart raced and her pussy moistened thinking that this is the same body that her son not only saw, but the same body that gave him an erection, the same body that he… Yes, she allowed herself to think it… The same body he jacked off to.

ITDIO psp cover 5 reverse 9 500x800“If the Door Is Open…” is one of my ebooks that has been directly banned on Amazon, along with “Confessions of My Nephew”. It is, however, available at MANY OTHER outlets, including Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, and Carnal Pleasures.

It is available as a stand-alone story, and is also included in my bundled anthology, “The Irresistible Moms Collection”.

Thank you for checking out my entry for this week’s TabooTuesday, and be sure to >>click here<< for more hot entries from other participants. 🙂

Why I Will NEVER Become a “Successful” Erotica Author

being a writerThe business of writing erotica is a rather strange animal these days. Perhaps it always has been, but considering I’ve only been a serious contender in this game for the past couple of years, that’s really the only experience I have to draw on. I spend a considerable amount of time pondering on where we are, how we got here, and…probably most importantly…what can we do about it. As is usually the case, the answer to the last question is as varied as the authors it affects. There really is no “one-size-fits-all” solution that will work for each individual author.

A question was posed recently on the Erotic Authors forum on Reddit:

“How profitable are using dedicated adult epublishers for non-Amazon safe kinks?”

A rather excellent question to pose, actually. However, me offering any sort of response personally on that particular forum is usually not a good idea. My viewpoints are not well received there. I’m sure a couple of people from there will follow me here and drag me in front of the tribunal to deliver the obligatory 30 lashes for daring to speak ANYTHING negative about Amazon or the authors who publish on it, but at least I can’t be justifiably accused of “starting a fight” there. (Not that it would actually stop anybody from doing so, of course.)

Truthfully, the short answer to the above posed question is, only moderately so. Let’s face it, the way this erotica writing thing is set up at the moment, I will NEVER expand beyond just the nice little extra “spending money” I receive monthly from my publisher. Admittedly, this is mostly by choice. As much as some people may want to accuse me of playing the “Victim of Amazon” card, it is certainly not what I’m doing, nor have I ever done that. I tell people time and time again, if Amazon works for you, then by all means go that route.

The frustrating thing for me usually is I see author after author after author complaining about how Amazon operates, how they keep getting screwed over by Amazon, how fearful they always are about getting dungeoned or dropped completely by Amazon every time they press the “Publish” button, yet time after time after time the only solutions that are ever given any serious consideration involves continuing to feed the hand that bites them. Because of Amazon’s recent changes to their Kindle Unlimited program, authors of erotica, especially short form erotica, now have to work at least three times as hard to maintain the same amount of money they were earning before these changes. I sympathize completely with those who are so dependent on Amazon when they say, “Well, what else can we do?” Unfortunately, the only answer I can give today is, “Nothing”. The main reason I am not a “victim of Amazon” is that I got in on this erotica writing endeavor shortly after Amazon and many of the other biggies did their erotica purge. I never grew dependent on Amazon’s royalties. Real, honest “victims of Amazon” however are out there. By the hundreds, if not the thousands.

The problem right now is, Amazon makes it too easy. They make it easy for authors to write crap, and they make it easy for readers to buy it. One click to publish, one click to purchase. Their fucking apps are everywhere. They come pre-installed on damn near every computer, every tablet, every smartphone. Do I blame Amazon for this? Fuck no. no orgasm for youShrewd business folk they are, they’ve expertly learned how to profit from convenience. If readers want to buy poorly written erotica, and writers want to produce it, why is that Amazon’s fault?

(And yes, some people will totally rip me a new one for using the words “poorly written erotica”, but honestly, you CANNOT convince me that dozens of ‘so-called’ authors can pump out 5k stories on a daily, or even weekly basis and honestly say that these are anywhere NEAR being considered “quality” work!)

One of the questions asked in the above post is, is there a market big enough to make it worth publishing outside of Amazon? The answer to that easily is, of course there is! If nothing else, Amazon itself has proven that to a fault. The “market” is definitely there. The question is, outside of Amazon, how does an author reach them?

Readers definitely want quality erotica. The problem is, readers don’t want to look that hard to find it. As difficult as it must surely be to try to find diamonds among the dung heaps on Amazon, readers are willing to do that because it’s… everyone say it with me now… “convenient“! One stop, click click click, oh, this one looks like it might be interesting, click to read (hell, they don’t even have to buy the damn thing these days with convenient subscription), read until they’re bored, click click click, wash, rinse, repeat, run out of shampoo. (Sorry.. Idea for a shower scene popped into my head.)

think differentAuthors who publish outside of Amazon (or who want to) need to make it easier for readers to find them. Readers don’t know. All they know is the convenience of Amazon. And this is what trips a lot of authors up when trying to do anything outside the virtual walls of Amazon. This necessitates authors becoming more adept at self-promotion. I’m fortunate enough to have a little bit of background experience in that area. Many authors do not. I understand. What I don’t understand is most authors are soooo willing to take the time and effort to try to learn not only formatting correctly, but also try to figure out all the ‘secret’ ways to work around Amazon’s restrictions, learn keyword usage, unlock SEO strategies, and basically “game the Amazon system”, but yet choose to remain so totally clueless on the best ways to self-promote and refuse to learn how because Amazon will simply do that shit for them if they go exclusive. Well, how’s that working for ya?

At the risk of sounding completely immodest, I am extremely proud of my stories. I never send ANYTHING out unless I am at least moderately satisfied with them, and they tell the story I wish to tell. They are of good quality, many people have bought and read them, and I have received much complimentary feedback from folks who have truly enjoyed them.

So why am I not “successful”? Well, in many ways I am. I write what I want, people have bought and enjoyed them, and I get satisfaction out of putting together a good story written in a quality manner. I can honestly look at my catalog and say, “Hey… I did a damn good job!”

Why am I not making more money? Well, mainly by choice. Not only do I refuse to cater to Amazon’s ridiculous and ever-changing guidelines and strategies, I refuse to spend so much effort trying to cater to people’s laziness. I do know how to write fairly decent promotional pieces and I can point people in the direction to go, but you know the story about horses and water. I will keep trying, though. I’m fully convinced my “audience” is out there. It’s just a matter of figuring out which walls to break down that separates us. Or patiently waiting for the time it takes for that to happen. In the meantime, I’m out nothing but my time, which I spend doing what I like doing anyway, whether I make money at it or not. It would be nice though to be able to spend more time doing it. 🙂

doing what you lovePeople ask me all the time why I don’t just publish what Amazon will accept. Well, then it really wouldn’t be my story now, would it? Sure, I could make money at it. Maybe even make a living at it. But then again I wouldn’t enjoy what I’m doing.

And where is the “success” in that?

Sneak Peek at “Seduction of the Shrew” – #MasturbationMonday

Book 5 - psp cover 2-FLRY 500x800My entry this week for the #MasturbationMonday blog hop is a short excerpt from my upcoming ebook “Seduction of the Shrew”, which I am excited to say should be ready to submit for publication in just a matter of DAYS!! It’s the fifth story in my ongoing series “The Angel Falls Library Files”, and is the first full collaboration with my lovely wife and talented co-author Lilly-Rose Young. It’s been a long time in the making, and after some minor touch-ups, completing the formatting, and a couple of final checks, this little erotic birdie should be just about ready to fly. 🙂

WARNING!: For those of you who may be unfamiliar with my work, be advised that this story is very taboo in nature, dealing with topics and situations that many people find distasteful. If you’re into that shit though, then sit back and let your mind… and your hands… wander, and enjoy. 😉

Phyllis could feel a drip from her pussy start to trickle down her inner thigh. She felt like it was taking every ounce of concentration in her just to remain standing. In a feeble attempt to maintain control, she clenched her fists tight almost as hard as she was clenching her eyes closed. “Why are you doing this to me?” Her words came out as barely a whisper.

“Tell me to stop, Phyllis, and I’ll stop.”

Phyllis opened her eyes just a crack, staring straight ahead, not daring to look in his direction. She opened her mouth slightly as if to speak, almost desperately trying to coax that one simple word out, but it stubbornly refused to surface.

“You can’t, can you? As much as you may want to, as much as you know you should, you just can’t bring yourself to say it. Just one simple word, and it will all end.”

Phyllis opened her mouth a little further, but all that managed to come out was just a jagged breath. She struggled to keep her knees locked as she actually felt a quiver start to build up in her groin. With her mind a whirlpool of conflicting emotions, she clenched her eyes tightly shut once again. His face totally devoid of expression, Adam stepped slightly to the side and he started to walk away.

“What are you going to do?” Phyllis asked, her voice a mixture of panic and arousal as she finally managed to open her eyes and look in his direction.

Stopping just for a moment, Adam looked back at her, allowed a slight wicked smile to graze his face, then walked out of the room. Phyllis brought her hand up to her mouth as if to stifle a scream or a gasp as she watched him walk away. Panic and fear permeated her mind as she listened to him walk through the hall and down the stairs. Finally managing to find the strength to walk, she rushed back into Paige’s room and shut the door behind her. Relief rushed through her legs as she sat on the side of the bed. Unable to withstand the urge a second longer, she reached down and separated the robe, her hand roaming uncontrollably down to her now sopping wet pussy. “God help me! Oh, God help me,” she whisperingly pleaded right before she dug her fingers deep into her aching folds. Ripples of orgasm started rushing through her entire body as the images of reactions from her husband and her daughter floated tauntingly in her mind. With her body awash in pleasure and her mind in shameful torment, Phyllis desperately held her breath to prevent the moans of ecstasy from becoming audible. The thought of anyone hearing her cry out in pleasure only intensified her orgasms.

Opening the robe completely, she laid back and surrendered to the probing fingers trying to desperately fuck the desires away. But the more shame she felt, the more the desires intensified. And the more furiously her fingers plunged in and out of her.

Wantonly Humping Legs

Heyy, look at this… TWO POSTS from me in ONE DAY! (If you’re wondering about the title, just keep reading.. It will make sense, I promise, and you will probably chuckle at my creativity. Then again, maybe not…)

computer sex 001A while back a fellow author asked me about the benefits of using social media, and the best ways to go about it. Since then, I’ve been rumbling in my head about putting up a post concerning that, the benefits and pitfalls of various ones, and how to use them to an author’s advantage. Well, just recently I came across an article that actually offered much more sage advice about it than I would be capable of. (And probably with much more flair. I’m kinda jealous about that part.)That article is posted below in its entirety, as well as a link to the original source.

Social media is a great tool for self-promotion and making your presence known, but let’s face it, it can only do so much. Using social media alone is not going to make you rich by any means. But it is an excellent start, and a place you can direct people to. Even if you have a publisher, self-promotion and an attractive web presence is pretty crucial. I will probably still offer my own thoughts about each type of social media, what’s good and what’s bad about them, and how best to use them in a future post, but for now, here are some excellent words of wisdom concerning that topic from Chuck Wendig on the Terrible Minds website:

SOCIAL MEDIA FOR WRITERS IS A MISUNDERSTOOD OPPORTUNITY

You can sell books using social media.

You also can’t really sell books using social media.

The cat is both dead and alive.

Let me unpack this a little bit.

For quite some time, social media has been promoted by nearly everybody, including publishers, as a Very Good Way to SELL YOUR BOOKS. You have a Certified Platform. It is the place where you express your Authorial Brand. (My platform is cobbled together from the skulls of my enemies, and my brand looks like Calvin peeing on a tiny bigot.) Publishers say: YOU MUST TWEET. YOU MUST FACEYTALK. YOU MUST BLARGH ON THE BLOGS. Not-good publishers take this a step further and basically use an author’s social media presence — meaning, her brand and platform, or her “brandform,” if we’re into making up shitty corporate-speak — to sell the books instead of actually levying their own power as a publisher to do the same. (Note: if this is your publisher’s only marketing plan, please bill them for your time.)

And it has become quite understood across both traditional and indie publishing that This Is Now How You Sell Books. And that’s not entirely inaccurate.

But it is a little bit inaccurate.

You can, indeed, sell books on social media.

You can sell, depending on your outreach, 10s to 100s of copies of your books.

That’s not nothing. Every book sold is a pebble thrown into the water. And each pebble has the potential to make ripples that reach shores you had never previously reached. Word-of-mouth is the truest driver for selling your work, and where once our “circle of trust” in that regard was fairly small (and entirely IRL), it has grown much wider given our online networks. So, selling a book to even a single person has meaning. That person, if they like it, may go on and tell their friends (online and off) about the book. And they may tell their friends, and on and on.

Problem is, this is an effect with diminishing returns. You ping your social network a handful of times and after that, they start to feel besieged by the promotion. Here and there, “Hey, I have a book, and I want to speak earnestly about it?” That can work. But a constant barrage of LOOK BOOK LOOK BOOK HEY HEY HEY I WROTE A BOOK I WROTE A BOOK is you being a dog just wantonly humping legs. Maybe we’re not mad at you about it, but it’s still a little embarrassing for everyone involved. If you’re an author with a book out, it’s expected that you’ll advertise it, talk about it, and keep a little momentum going. But it’s also feared that you’ll become a nuisance with it, performing an action equivalent to hitting people in the throat with the damn thing.

So, to reiterate –

Social media can sell some books.

Publishers, however, don’t want to sell “some” books.

They want to sell all the books.

Selling 10s or 100s of copies is not enough to keep your publisher afloat, and it is not enough to justify your advance or their marketing budget (assuming that budget is more than just a shoebox full of bottlecaps and sadness). It will buy them and you too little whiskey.

No, your publisher wants to sell 1000s of copies.

So, how do you do that?

Mostly? You don’t.

The one aspect in your control here is the writing. You write the best book you can. Always and forever. Is this a guarantor of your success? Ha ha ha, fuck no. But it’s something, and at least you can feel good about the book you wrote. Writing a good book is not a prerequisite toward selling well, but it’s a noble, valuable start. Why, do you want to write a bad book? For shame.

Beyond that? Where do the sales come from?

It’s on your publisher.

The publisher has the means to push that book in ways that are both traditional and innovative — a variety of marketing and advertising efforts across the spectrum. Trade reviews and media attention and placement on tables and all that jazz is by and large up to your publisher and how much cachet and cash they have. Again, these things are not a guarantee for success, but remember how I said each book sold is a pebble thrown? Right, your publisher can throw a catapult full of pebbles. They have gatling guns capable of firing hundreds of pebbles a minute. Meanwhile, you just have your two hands. Your two ink-stained, Dorito-dusted hands.

Now, again, maybe you with your two hands can do better than your publisher.

But it’s less likely. Why is that?

Because success in writing and publisher is very frequently a game of luck.

But it’s not purely random luck — this isn’t fucking Chutes and Ladders, man (by the way, FUCKING CHUTES is probably a porn site so I’m sure I’m going to get some great search term hits from that). This is a luck you can tweak. Luck you can add to. Every pebble thrown is (in RPG terms) a modifier to your Luck score. So when the time comes to roll your Luck, well, you get a shot at a more favorable outcome because of all your modifiers.

(For self-publishers, the same thing applies but with the simple reminder that you are more than an author — you are an author-publisher. That’s why I prefer that term, because now you’re doing double-duty. You still can’t count on PURE SOCIAL MEDIA to sell your book. You gotta get savvy. Creative. And if you can’t do that directly…? Then you hire people who can.)

So, social media sells books.

Just not as many as you want.

And more importantly, not as many as publishers might hope.

Now you’re asking:

What, then, is the missed opportunity? The one mentioned in the post’s title?

Social media is not great for authors selling books.

But it is an excellent way to make and cultivate professional connections — and, dare I say it, friendships. Listen, social media is a fucking gonzo great place to hang out with other writers, editors, artists. It’s an awesome place to meet agents, bloggers, booksellers, librarians, readers. It is a fundamental vortex of book-love. You can meet people telling stories across a wide variety of media: books, comics, movies, games. Just talking to folks — and being the best version of yourself when you do it — is another way to throw pebbles. But what you build here aren’t front-end sales. It’s a kind of personal infrastructure. People are awesome. And people make up the industry in which we hope to work. I don’t mean you should get on social media just as some crass promotional exercise — a way to “get work.” But it is a damn good way to meet like-minded folks and learn things from one another. That has huge professional and personal value.

Worry less about selling books online.

Worry more about being a COOL HUMAN meeting other COOL HUMANS.

That last one will take you far.
